Live: Silo Sessions Presents NZ Soul All Dayer

We’re back! It’s the final summer 2015/2016 edition of the NZ Soul All Dayer!

After successful shows in Aotea Square and at Mount Maunganui over the summer - and one postponed attempt at a Silo Sessions event earlier in February - the NZ Soul All Dayer brings its’ famously feelgood flavours to Auckland’s Silo Park.

Starting at midday on Saturday 19th March, over the course of six hours a quality selection of hand-picked local DJs reach deep into their crates to play many of the shades of soul music, from classic soul, rare groove, funk and boogie, to northern soul, proper disco and much, much more besides.

1200-1300   Nyntee
1300-1400   Kirsty Hargreaves
1400-1445   Murray Cammick
1445-1530   Lo-Key
1530-1615   Selecta Sam
1615-1715   Frank Booker
1715-1800   Jay Jeffrey

Also kicking off at midday and running throughout the afternoon is The Other Crate Record Fair. Set in the shady surrounds of ‘Silo 7’ (right next to the main stage) will be a bespoke selection of quality vendors with a wide variety of music available for sale - and all on vinyl. Bring your cash with you!

Of course it wouldn’t be a proper Silo Session without their famous array of market stalls, food trucks and wide variety of tasty culinary offerings from all over the world. The Silo Park Bar will be open throughout the afternoon.

We’ll also be giving away free copies of the Soultearoa Shakedown fanzine and selling exclusive ‘Soul Tiki’ merchandise at our own NZ Soul All Dayer stall. Come and say hello!

A true celebration of soul music, the purpose of the NZ Soul All Dayer is to bring together like-minded lovers of real soul music while providing an inclusive, family-friendly atmosphere saturated with beautiful soulful music!

With thanks to Silo Park, Fresh Concept and It’s All Good.

Live: NZ Soul All Dayer Waitangi Day 2016

Unfortunately this event has been cancelled.

This is due to the very poor weather forecast for the downtown Auckland area for Saturday.

Obviously we're very disappointed, but we're also working hard to bring you some good news about our next NZ Soul All Dayer event - coming very soon!

NZ Soul All Dayer Wellington

The NZ Soul All Dayer kicks off the summer with our first ever Wellington edition!

A quartet of NZ Soul All Dayer resident DJs are joining a host of Wellington’s most soulful DJs at Laundry Cuba Street for an all day, all vinyl throwdown and celebration of soul, bringing together like-minded lovers of real soul music while replicating the feelgood vibe and inclusive spirit of the original All Dayers from the UK.

Beginning in the early afternoon, over the course of twelve-plus hours this stack of hand-picked DJs reach deep into their crates to play the many shades of soul music, from classic soul, rare groove, funk and boogie, to northern soul, proper disco and much, much more besides.

Repping for Auckland and the Bay Of Plenty:
Selecta Sam / Nyntee / Kirk James / Campbell Ngata

And on Team Wellington:
Omega B / Ayesha / Melfunction / Ian Footitt / Chung / Mikki Dee / Dunc Tha Funk / B-Lo

There’ll be the usual array of excellent refreshments and delicious food delivered all day long from the fine folks of Laundry Cuba Street; and, as is our way, we’ll also be giving away free copies of the ‘Soultearoa Shakedown’ fanzine, selling exclusive Soul Tiki merchandise as well as playing more great soul and funk music than you can shake a jandal at.

Check out his own work as Lanu, or Menagerie, and his production work with Kylie Auldist; or his sideman gig in Cookin' With 3 Burners, or... you get the picture?
